CPING uses a "hub and spoke" model to maximize training opportunities across EPSCoR states. PIs at each hub university will select four PIs at universities in their region for genomics and bioinformatics training in year 2 of the program. In turn, these regional PIs will select an additional three PIs to receive the same training in year 3. All PIs and their students will be involved in projects on the five CPING focal species as well as on projects using the taxa of their choice.
