The Consortium for Plant INvasion Genomics is pleased to announce its inaugural Invasion Genomics research conference! This conference seeks to bring together researchers at all academic levels to explore the latest work in Botany, Genomics, and Invasion Science.
This year's conference will follow a hybrid, COVID-19-aware model. There is a 75-person in-person limit, all in-person attendees must have had at least one vaccination dose prior to arrival, and all attendees must be masked. However, all talks and posters will also be available remotely in real time.
Dr. Dlugosch is one of the world's foremost experts on invasive plant species, having worked extensively on the ecology and population genomics of the European invasive yellow starthistle (Centaurea solstitialis). She has written more broadly on invasion theory and the evolution of weediness in plants. She is an associate professor in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at the University of Arizona.
